The wedding of Rachel Skoczylas and Ryan Tekac took place June 16 at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

The Revs. Lang Collins and Richard Murphy officiated for the daughter of Thomas and Peggy Skoczylas of Warren and son of Jack and Marilyn Tekac of Poland.

A reception followed at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center in Boardman, and the couple honeymooned in Akumal, Mexico.

The bride’s fit-and-flare gown was designed with a high neckline and embellished with beads and embroidered lace.

Dr. Maria Sember was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were the groom’s sister, Kim Triveri, Danielle Johns, Caitlin Kosec, Amanda Toth and Ashley Rimmel. They wore varying shades of pink and purple.

Best man was Mark Chapman, and serving as groomsmen were T.J. Skoczylas, the bride’s brother; Dom Triveri, the groom’s brother-in-law; Larry Knittle; George Farris; and Ed Kraft.

Lily Lussier was flower girl, and the groom’s nephews, Anthony and Kyle Triveri, were ring bearers.

Special readings were given by the bride’s aunt, Gerry Rinehart; the groom’s aunt, Denise Loboy; and Pam Fowler.

The bride earned a bachelor’s degree from the University at Mount Union and a master’s degree from Youngstown State University. She is a second-grade teacher at Howland Local Schools.

Mr. Tekac is employed as environmental director at the Mahoning County District Board of Health in Austintown. He graduated with bachelor’s and master’s degrees from YSU.
