Staff report

SHARON, PA.

The third and final WaterFire festival of the summer will take place Saturday.

The free, family-friendly arts festival will take place from 2 to 11 p.m. in the downtown area.

The theme will be Hands Across the Water, which reflects its British Invasion entertainment.

The Beatles tribute act Beatlemania Magic will take the East outdoor stage at 4:30 p.m.

WaterFire also includes art and food vendors, a food court in the parking lot off Chestnut Street, and a children’s fun zone.

The highlight of every WaterFire festival is the ceremonial lighting of about two dozen wood-filled braziers that are tethered to the surface of the Shenango River. The lighting occurs at dusk with an elaborate ritual on the State Street Bridge.
