‘Santaland Diaries’ at Salem

“The Santaland Diaries” will open at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Salem Community Theater, 490 E. State St.,Salem. Additional performances will be at the same Saturday and Sept. 28 and29. “Santaland,” a one-person comedy, is an evocation of what a slacker’s Christmas must feel like. The only character, played by Matthew Schomer, gets a job as an elf in a department store during the holiday crunch. For reservations, call 330-332-9688.
