South Dakota State 90, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 6

BROOKINGS, S.D.

Taryn Christion completed 13 of 14 passes for 332 yards and five passes for South Dakota State. Isaac Wallace ran the ball five times for 192 yards and two scores. Cade Johnson caught five passes for 162 yards and two scores and Adam Anderson caught four passes for 128 yards and a touchdown. Seven different receivers caught touchdown passes for the Jackrabbits.

North Dakota State 38, North Alabama 7

FARGO, N.D.

Easton Stick threw for one touchdown and ran for another, leading North Dakota State to a win over FCS newcomer North Alabama. Stick had an 18-yard connection with Darrius Shepherd in the second quarter to lead 17-0 at halftime and scored on a 6-yard run in the third quarter. Bruce Anderson scored NDSU’s first touchdown, a 1-yard plunge.

Missouri State 40, Northern Arizona 8

SPRINGFIELD, MO.

Jason Randall rushed for a career-high 181 yards and a pair of touchdowns as Missouri defeated Northern Arizona. Randall, who had 20 carries, scored on a 47-yard burst up the middle on the third play of the game. Peyton Huslig threw for 144 yards and a score. He completed 11 of 28 passes and was intercepted four times. Daniel Bridge-Gadd was 25 of 42 passing for 257 yards and a touchdown, but he threw three interceptions.

Western Illinois 31, Montana 27

MACOMB, ILL.

Sean McGuire threw for three touchdowns and Eric Carrera’s late interception preserved the lead as Western Illinois edged Montana. Zach Muniz recovered a Montana fumble, setting up an 11-yard scoring pass from McGuire to McShane to give Western Illinois a 31-27 lead with 2:39 to play. McGuire finished with 360 yards. Brunner had 180 yards receiving.

Weber State 27, South Dakota 10

OGDEN, UTAH

Jake Constantine threw a touchdown pass, Josh Davis ran for 105 yards and Weber State used stout defense to defeat South Dakota. Trey Tuttle, who made four field goals, nailed a 42-yarder to put Weber State (2-1) on the board with 5:12 left in the first quarter. Mason Lorber put South Dakota (1-2) on the scoreboard with a 26-yard field goal to start the second quarter. Simmons threw for 210 yards and completed a late touchdown pass to Dakarai Allen.

SE Missouri 48, S. Illinois 44

CARBONDALE, ILL.

Daniel Santacaterina hit Austin Crump on a 14-yard scoring pass with 25 seconds left, Marquis Terry ran for 311 yards and four touchdowns to set school and conference single-game rushing records, and Southeast Missouri State beat Southern Illinois. Sam Straub went 27 of 43 for 338 yards with two passing TDs, a scoring run and three interceptions. Santacaterina was 18 of 31 for 179 yards with an interception and a 7-yard TD pass to Crump in the first quarter.

Indiana St 55, E. Illinois 41

CHARLESTON, ILL.

Ja’Quan Keys ran for 232 yards and four touchdowns, three in the first half, as Indiana State beat Eastern Illinois. Johnathan Brantley completed 37 of 49 passes for 443 yards and four touchdowns for Eastern Illinois. Keys scored twice in the second quarter, including a 20-yard run, to put Indiana State in front, 31-20 at intermission.
