Fall rite set for Catherine Carney, Matthew English

POLAND

Michael and Susan Carney of Poland are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Catherine Carney, to Matthew English, both of Columbus. Mr. English is a son of Mark and Mary English of East Liverpool.

The ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. Oct. 20 at Holy Family Church in Poland. A reception by invitation will take place that evening at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Hall in Boardman.

The bride-elect graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and political science. She also has earned a juris doctor degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. Miss Carney is an assistant attorney general in the Ohio Attorney General’s Office in Columbus.

The prospective groom graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and is an automation engineer at TS Trim Industries in Canal Winchester.
