The Network Council for the American Business Women’s Association will celebrate its annual ABW Day Sunday at A La Cart in Canfield. There will be a buffet luncheon for $20, including roast pork, stuffed chicken breast and stuffed shells with all the fixings and dessert. The doors will open at 12:30 p.m. and the buffet will begin at 1. The guest speaker will be Carla J. Baldwin, judge of Mahoning County Municipal Court. 49th Fall Market on the Green planned
CANFIELD
The 49th annual Fall Market on the Green will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday on the Village Green, state Routes 224 and 46.
The event will include 200 vendors featuring hand-crafted items, jewelry, antiques, baked goods, fresh produce, dog rescues, food vendors and more. For information, call 330-506-4347.
Flag retiring to take place in September
Shepherd of the Valley will be accepting tired, torn and faded American flags that need to be retired during this month.
Flags may be dropped off at any Shepherd of the Valley community from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at corporate offices. Library to host Alzheimer’s program
SALEM
Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., will host its Wellness Wednesday program at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The topic will be “Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body.” Nicole Pondillo, MSW, LSW, Family Service Coordinator at the Canfield office of the Alzheimer’s Association, will be the guest speaker.
Participants will learn about research in the areas of diet, nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity, and social engagement. Also to be discussed are hands-on tools that can be used to help incorporate recommendations into a plan for healthy aging.
