“SuperFly” (R): This reboot of the 1972 blaxploitation classic stars Trevor Jackson and Jason Mitchell.

“Hearts Beat Loud” (PG-13): A father and daughter form a band and find some unlikely success before having to make a decision about its future. Starring Nick Offerman.

“Distorted” (R): A bipolar woman and her husband move into an apartment complex and suspect they are the subjects of a plot with global ramifications. Starring Christina Ricci and John Cusack.

Guided tour will reveal city’s past

CANFIELD

The Canfield Historical Society will present Canfield History Walk: A Step Back in Time.

The tour, which will guide visitors through Canfield’s past, from the early pioneer days to the early 20th century, is a fundraiser for the CHS and will take place Sept. 22 and 29.

Local volunteers will portray historical persons and events. Re-enactments will include a bank robbery, the fatal shooting of Canfield Sheriff Cone, the funeral of Elijah Bond and more. The guided walk will take place on the city’s Green in the center of town.

There will be four tours each day beginning at 4 p.m. with the last tour departing at 5:45 p.m., rain or shine.

The Sept. 22 tours are $10 per person.

The Sept. 29 tours will be part of a dinner package, which will take place at Piccadilly Parlor, on the Green. Price is $40 per couple or $25 for one.
