Kate Rafeedie, Matt Franklin set wedding date

Jim and Ellie Rafeedie of Boardman are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Kate Rafeedie, to Matt Franklin, both of Columbus. The prospective groom’s parents are Tim and Ruth Franklin of Columbus.

The ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at The Lake Club in Poland, where a reception will follow. Invitations have been extended for both.

The bride-elect graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree and Nova Southeastern University with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology. She is a speech-language pathologist at Upper Arlington Speech Therapy Services in Upper Arlington.

Mr. Franklin graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree and Concordia University – St. Paul with a doctorate of physical therapy. He is a physical therapist at Cornerstone Physical Therapy in Gahanna.
