“Wyeth” (10 p.m., PBS): This American Masters special looks at one of America’s most popular but least understood artists, Andrew Wyeth.

“20/20” (10 p.m., ABC): An exclusive interview with Abby Hernandez, the New Hampshire teenager who was abducted in 2013 and returned home nine months later with a harrowing story of kidnapping, captivity and unspeakable abuse. Hernandez has been mostly silent for the past five years but will open up about the details of her story in this interview.

Dinner-dance with Italian theme

WARREN

Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3020 Reeves Road NE, will present its eight annual Festa! dinner-dance from 6 to 11 p.m. on Oct. 6 at Trumbull Country Club, 600 Golf Drive NE.

The event will celebrate the heritage and cuisine of the regions of Italy, and will include music and dancing, a cash bar with Italian wines, and a grand-prize raffle.

Former Miss Ohio Amanda Beagle will return as vocalist, singing music from the Italian American songbook.

New PEN award for writers in prison

NEW YORK

A new prize for writers in prison has been established by PEN America, the literary and human rights organization.

The PEN/Edward Bunker Prize in Fiction, announced Thursday, will honor works of short fiction.

Bunker had an extensive criminal record and was still in prison when he wrote his first book, “No Beast So Fierce,” which came out in 1973.

He was paroled two years later and went on to write such novels as “Little Boy Blue” and to appear in such films as “Reservoir Dogs” and “The Running Man.” He died in 2005.
