Alexander Wood assisted on both goals as Tommy Fryda and Ryan Johnston scored for the Boardman (3-1; 1-0 All-American Conference Red). Egan Hare had five saves for for the Spartans. Jacob Tatebe scored for Warren Harding.

NORTH LIMA

Adam Rumble scored the only goal of the game for Poland. Zack Nemeth made nine saves for the Bulldogs (3-1-1) and Matt Lucas made four stops for South Range (3-2).

LEAVITTSBURG

Jacob Wickline scored twice for Crestview (6-1) and Matt Jennings, Dale McGoogan, Ryan Emch and Mitchell Auer each scored once. Carter Blakeman had eight saves for the shutout win. Logan Dearmitt led LeBrae in saves with eight.

Vinnie Rienzi scored a brace (two goals) for Lakeview while Brier Roper, Dylan Sarko, Garrett Dodson and Seth Dunn each had a goal. Chris Altier had seven saves to earn the shutout. Alex Hill made eight saves for Niles.

Maria Torres ahd nine kills for Boardman (9-2), who lost just their second match of the season. Katie Stamp added six digs and four kills, and Julia Schrembeck added eight digs.

Emily Emch had 13 kills and five points as Crestview improved to 6-0. Haley Eskra had 15 assists and Amelia Montgomery scored 13 points. No stats were reported for Edgewood.

CROSS COUNTRY

The 2018 East Palestine Rotary Cross Country Invitational will be held at East Palestine City Park on Saturday. The race schedule is as follows: 10 a.m., girls middle school (1.75 miles); 10:30 a.m., boys middle school (1.75 miles); 11 a.m., girls high school (5000 meters); 11:45 a.m., boys high school (5000 meters); and 12:30 p.m. awards presentation.

The following schools have entered: East Palestine, Cardinal Mooney, Lisbon, Girard, Heartland Christian, Jackson-Milton, Niles, Ravenna, Southern, Springfield, Struthers, Waterloo, Western Reserve and Chaney.
