‘Hamilton’ tickets go on sale Monday

Staff report

PITTSBURGH

Single tickets for the Pittsburgh run of the blockbuster Broadway musical “Hamilton” will go on sale Monday at 9 a.m. at TrustArts.org and at the box office at Theater Square, 655 Penn Ave., downtown. Tickets will be available for all performances of the Jan. 1-27 run at Benedum Center.

There is a maximum purchase limit of four tickets per account for the engagement. When tickets go on sale, prices will range from $81 to $190.25 with a select number of $490.25 premium seats available for all performances. There will be a lottery for 40 $10 seats for all performances. Details will be announced closer to the engagement.

“It’s tempting to get tickets any way you can,” said Jeffrey Seller, producer of the show. “There are many sites and people who are selling overpriced, and in some cases, fraudulent tickets. For the best seats, the best prices and to eliminate the risk of counterfeit tickets, all purchases for the Pittsburgh engagement should be made through TrustArts.org.”

“Hamilton” is the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton, with book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire.
