NOAS offers classes

Warren

Northeast Ohio Adoption Services invites Ohio couples or singles to register for its free Adoption/Foster Care Pre-Placement Education series. The next class begins Saturday and runs until Nov. 30. All 36 hours of required training will be completed over the course of the month. NOAS hopes to raise awareness about the need for adoptive families for older youth in foster care through recruiting, training, and supporting families. Signing up for classes is the first step towards fostering or adopting. Those who have been considering becoming a foster or adoptive parent, adults over 21, can find out more about Ohio children and teens served by the child welfare system.

The sign-up deadline is Thursday. If a participant can’t attend a certain session, make up opportunities are available. Call Cindy Wallis at 1-800-686-6627, ext. 126, as soon as possible because of limited space. After receiving the information packet sent in the mail, register for classes to see if becoming a foster or adoptive parent is the right choice. Find NOAS online at www.noas.com.
