THURSDAY

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for fresh potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. or until sold out Thursday and at 10:30 a.m. Friday, if available, by calling 330-746-9528. Pick up will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Lunches also will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell pirogi Friday. Call in orders to 330-755-1316 from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and beginning at 9 a.m. Friday. Choose potato, kraut or prune pirogi at $6 per dozen. Pickup will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, is selling potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $7 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-in orders are welcome.

VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter and coffee. Cost is $7.50 for adults and $4 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $8 and will be available until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. by calling 330-792-1005.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will be selling potato and cheese pirogi Friday. To order, call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Cost is $7 a dozen. No containers are necessary. No walkins. Use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will have a pirogi sale. The cost is $6 per dozen. Potato, cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi are available. SATURDAY

Angels for Animals will host its all-you-can-eat Halloween Pancake Breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Andrews Hall, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield. Cost is $8; and $5 for children 6 and under. Menu includes regular and specialty pancakes, sausage, bacon, pastries, home fries, toast, scrambled eggs, mixed fruit, orange juice, coffee, tea and milk. The event will include a basket and 50-50 raffle. Proceeds benefit The Feline Voucher Project.

Bessemer Presbyterian Church, 29 N. Main St., will host a ham loaf dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children age 6 to 12 and free for children age 5 and younger. Boy Scout Troop 119 will sponsor its 10th annual pasta dinner at New Springfield Church of God from 3 to 7 p.m. Menu includes pasta, spaghetti, meatballs, bread & butter, fresh fruit, salad, drink and Dutch Oven desserts. Cost is $7 for adults; $5 for children age 5 to 12 and free for children under 5. The event will include silent and basket auction items.

Braceville United Methodist Church, off state Route 82, will sponsor a stuffed pork chop dinner from 4 until 6:30 p.m. (or until sold out). The menu includes mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, coleslaw, applesauce, homemade desserts, bread, coffee, tea or punch. Cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children. Takeout available.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. for a donation. Items include eggs, pancakes, French toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade pastries, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and mushrooms, coffee, orange juice, and other beverages. Youngstown Saxon Culture Group is sponsoring a sausage sale. Mild, hot and the group’s own Saxon flavor will be available. Campbell Knights of Columbus 13466 will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Palermo Banquet Center, 394 Tenney Ave., Campbell. Tickets for adults are $7 each and $4 for children age 4 to 10. Tickets will be sold at the door.

Centenary Methodist Church, 1413 Belmont Ave., Youngstown, will host a free community lunch at 12:30 p.m. followed by a Trunk or Treat at 1:30 p.m. for neighborhood children. The event will include activities, prizes and candy.

St. James Episcopal Church, 7640 Glenwod Ave., Boardman, will host a meatball and cavatelli dinner from noon to 5 p.m. Dinner is $8, and there will be a basket auction and 50-50 raffle. Proceeds benefit Mario Novello.

Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, will host a pork-kraut dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $9.50 for adults and $5 for children, which includes dessert, coffee, tea or pop. The public is welcome and takeouts are available.

TAKING ORDERS

North Lima Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave., is taking orders for homemade apple dumplings through Sunday. Cost is $3.25 each and available frozen or baked. Youngstown St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., will sponsor its monthly Sauce and Song event Nov. 4. The spaghetti dinner will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the social hall. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children age 10 and under. The menu includes the main entr e, salad, bread, dessert and beverage. Carryouts will be available with containers also provided. The concert will take place in the church from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and will feature former music director and organist Barbara Masters. She is music director at Visitation Catholic Church in Elmhurst, Ill. Masters also directs four choirs at the church. The concert is open to the community.
