The Mahoning Valley Accounting Society will host a seminar, “Cybersecurity and Focus on the New Ohio Cybersecurity Law (SB 220)” on Tuesday at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St. The presenter will be William J. Heaven, CPA, CISA, CSCP. Registration will take place at 7:45 a.m., and the seminar begins at 8. Cost is $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers, which includes breakfast. Library to host owl program
SALEM
The Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., will host an interactive video conference program “Owls through the Ages” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The International Owl Center, located will present the program.
Participants will learn how owls are seen in different cultures. Included in the presentation will be an on-air visit from one of the live ambassador owls that live at the center.

Outlets to host Halloween event
GROVE CITY, PA
Grove City Premium Outlets, 1911 Leesburg Grove City Road, will host a spook-tacular Halloween extravaganza Thursday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The Monster Mash Dance Party will kick off in the patio-area outside of Grove City Premium Outlets’ Starbucks. The event will include music and treats. In addition, newly crowned Miss Mercer County Outstanding Teen Diana Schulties will be onsite for a meet-and-greet experience.
The Springfield Township Volunteer Fire Department will be handing out treats and offering children a chance to see, touch and explore one of their fire trucks. Starting at 6 p.m., costumed children age 12 and under are invited to take-part in trick-or-treating throughout the center. Participating retailers will display a pumpkin decal on the storefront. Library to host meetings

As part of the strategic planning process at the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County, the renovation of the main library is in its beginning phases. The library is seeking input from interested citizens and is holding two input meetings, open to the public and to be held inside the main library, 305 Wick Ave.
The meetings will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday and at 8 a.m. Oct. 30. The meetings will include a presentation showing what the renovated library might include to generate discussion.
Topics include the building exterior and green space; parking space; interior people spaces such as meeting rooms, study rooms, exhibit space, a caf area, a reading room; a children’s area; a maker-space or interactive- learning center; research areas, including general research, genealogy, local history; popular materials. To accommodate hearing impaired attendees, a sign language interpreter will be available at the public sessions. Family Service to host fundraiser
YOUNGSTOWN
Protestant Family Service will sponsor a “Feast of Salads & Fashions” fundraiser at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, 201 Wick Ave. Doors will open at 10. A Basket auction will take place and proceeds benefit the mission of serving the community.
