SENIOR CITIZENS


Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Nov. 2 at Lowellville City Hall Conference Room. Lunch will be provided. For reservations, call Janet Davanzo at 330-793-3176. Brenda Perry, president, will preside. New members are welcome. Lowellville residency is not a requirement. To report an illness or death among members, call Norma Higgins, sunshine chairwoman, at 330-953-3090. Plans for the December Christmas Party will be finalized, and November birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged. Bingo and 50-50 raffle will follow the meeting.

Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will meet Nov. 14 at Drake’s Landing, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. The social hour will begin at 11 a.m., and lunch will be at 11:45. The meeting and program will follow. Susan Harris will preside. The American Legion will present colors in honor of Veterans Day. Sonia Tsvetkoff, scholarship chairwoman, will introduce and present MRTA’s scholarships to YSU School of Education students, and Deana DeLuca will speak on “Mindfulness and Meditation.” The community-service collection will benefit the Canfield Veterans Auxiliary.
