The Schells celebrate anniversary

VENICE, FLA.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Schell of Venice, Fla., recently celebrated their 50th anniversary with a gathering of friends. They also will take a cruise to Cuba in November.

The couple have one son, Ryan Schell, also of Venice.

Mr. Schell married the former Linda Troutman on Sept. 21, 1968, at St. Edwards Church in Youngstown.

Mrs. Schell retired from AAA Auto Club South in Venice and Sarasota as a membership representative. She now devotes her time to writing children’s books.

Mr. Schell worked as a field manager for the Ford Motor Credit Corporation. He also was vice president and general manager of Doan Ford Lincoln Mercury. He and Mrs. Schell also owned and operated Tom Schell Motors (specializing in antique and classic cars) in St. Clairsville, Ohio. He most recently retired from Home Depot in Sarasota as an appliance salesman. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1961-64.

The couple will spend their time traveling.
