Penn-Ohio Singers in a free concert

BOARDMAN

The Penn-Ohio Singers, a men’s barbershop chorus, will present a free concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 119 Stadium Drive. The chorus is directed by Mark Ostheimer of Sharon, Pa. It will perform songs from the ’40’s through the ’80s, including several religious and patriotic songs.

Halloween Bash at Lanterman’s Mill

Mill Creek MetroParks will present Family Halloween Bash at Lanterman’s Mill on Saturday, from 4 to 6 p.m. Guests can come in costume for this child-friendly party for all ages that will include music and dancing, snacks, games, a costume competition and more. Boardman band in indoor concert

BOARDMAN

The Boardman Spartan Marching Band will perform in concert at 7 p.m. Oct. 27 in the high school gymnasium. The band will be seated at the concert, which will be a retrospective of the 2018 season, with the Spartan Sweethearts and Silks performing their routines on the gym floor. Admission is $3 ($2 for students; free for senior citizens).

The Akron Art Museum will host a free panel discussion designed for all levels of collecting experience to shed light on how to find original works of art for your home that you’ll love and that won’t break the bank.

The Art of Collecting will take place in the museum’s Lehner Auditorium at 6 p.m. Thursday, and will feature Ellen Rudolph, Akron Art Museum curator; Ellen Rudolph, owner of Hieronymous art gallery; and Jason Rulnick, senior specialist at Artnet Auctions.
