THURSDAY

Christ Our Savior Parish at Holy Trinity Church, 250 N. Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell pirogi Friday. Call in orders to 330-755-1316 from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and beginning at 9 a.m. Friday. Choose potato, kraut or prune pirogi at $6 per dozen. Pickup will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will have a pirogi sale. The cost is $6 per dozen. Potato, cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi are available. St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, is selling potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $7 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-in orders are welcome.

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will host Supper at the Corner from 4:30 to 6 p.m. This supper is free as a community outreach of the church. Donations are accepted to continue the program.

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, will host a creamed chicken and biscuits takeout-only dinner from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. by calling 330-792-1005.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will begin selling potato and cheese pirogi Friday. To order, call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Cost is $7 a dozen. No containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Use the side entrance.

SATURDAY

Berlin Center United Methodist Church, 15611 Akron-Canfield Road, will host a pasta dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Menu includes pasta, meatballs, salad, roll, beverage and choice of dessert. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children age 5-10 and free for children age 4 and under. No reservations are required. Dinner will be in conjunction with the church’s fall festival that will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Activities for children will be hosted, a silent auction and more.

Cortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., will host a turkey dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Menu includes turkey, homemade dressing, potatoes, gravy, coleslaw, green beans, cranberry sauce, bread, dessert and a beverage. Cost is $10 for adults, $4 for children age 5 to 12 and free for anyone under 5. Proceeds will benefit mission projects of the Cortland United Methodist women.

SUNDAY

Ellsworth Community Church, 11171 Akron-Canfield Road, will host a chicken-and-biscuit benefit dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Menu to include chicken and gravy over biscuits, mashed potatoes, vegetable, dessert and drink. Cost is $8 for adults, $3.50 for children age 4 to 11 and free for children age 3 and younger. Proceeds benefit Amanda Price, who is battling breast cancer. Raffle baskets will be available. Fowler Fire Department, 3386 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, Cortland, will host a fundraiser breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Roni Conner, a dispatcher with the Trumbull County 911 Center whose house and other belongings were destroyed in a house fire. Cost of breakfast is $6 for seniors, $7 for adults, $5 for children and free for preschool children. Conner is a lieutenant at the Fowler Fire Department, paramedic, firefighter, fire inspector and emergency medical technician instructor.

Good Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market St., North Lima, will host a barbecue dinner from noon to 6 p.m. Menu includes portions of cherrywood smoked chicken, kielbasa, pork loin, homemade rice pilaf, baked beans and cookies. Dine in or carryout.

Jackson Township Fire Department and Auxiliary will host a pancake-and-sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will take place at the Jackson Township Administration building, 10613 Mahoning Ave. Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children age 5-12, and age 4 and under eat for free. Breakfast includes all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage, coffee, tea, milk, juice or water. Carryouts available. There also will be a basket auction and 50-50 raffle.

TAKING ORDERS

First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Churchill Road, is taking orders for vegetable beef and chicken noodle soups, homemade pepperoni rolls, fresh baked bread and homemade sticky buns. Cost for soup is $5 a quart or $3 a pint. Cost for pepperoni rolls is $8 for large and $2.50 for a single. Bread is $2 for a large loaf and $1.50 for a small loaf and sticky buns are 4 for $2.50. St. Lucy Church Cultural Society is taking orders for its homemade sauce and meatball sale. Sauce is $6 per quart and meatballs are $9 per dozen. Campbell Knights of Columbus 13466 will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 28 at Palermo Banquet Center, 394 Tenney Ave., Campbell. Tickets for adults are $7 each and $4 for children age 4 to 10. Tickets will be sold at the door.

Centenary Methodist Church, 1413 Belmont Ave., Youngstown, will host a free community lunch at 12:30 p.m. followed by Trunk or Treat at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 28 for neighborhood children. The event will include activities, prizes and candy.

Youngstown Saxon Culture Group is sponsoring a sausage sale. Mild, hot and the group’s own Saxon flavor will be available. Cost is $3.50 per pound, available in 3-pound packages of links, or 5-pound packages of bulk. Pickup will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Saxon Club.
