‘Storybook Opera’

The New Castle Lyric Opera will present two performances of “Storybook Opera” at the Youngstown Playhouse on Oct. 21. The one-hour, family-friendly show will be performed at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. in the Moyer Room. “Storybook Opera” takes a musical journey through the four seasons, using a storybook to guide the narrative. Each season presents familiar musical themes and songs from popular operas, highlighting pieces from “Carmen,” “The Magic Flute,” “La Boheme” and more. Westminster College voice majors, as interns of the New Castle Lyric Opera, comprise the cast. Tickets are $10 ($7 for students) at the door.
