Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will host a free pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. Donations will be accepted for World Service Projects.

THURSDAY

Austintown Grace Lutheran Church, 162 S. Raccoon Road, will host a drive-through stuffed chicken breast dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. Menu includes stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans and a brownie. Cost is $7. Pepperoni rolls also will be available for $2 each. Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave., North Lima, will sponsor a drive-through chicken dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. Meals are $7, and will feature stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie. Dinners may be reserved by calling 330-549-2588.

Christ Our Savior Parish at Holy Trinity Church, 250 N. Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will have a pirogi sale. The cost is $6 per dozen. Potato, cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi are available. Phone orders will be taken from 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday. Call 330-542-3525 to order. Pick up will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, is selling potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $7 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

VFW Post 2799 Auxiliary will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the post home, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield. Menu includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, Italian bread, coffee or tea. Cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12.

VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter and coffee. Cost is $7.50 for adults and $4 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $8 and will be available until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. by calling 330-792-1005.

SATURDAY

Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman, will host a fall pasta dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets are available for purchase after church service or at the door. Dine-in or carryout also available.

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave., North Lima, will be the site for the Community Day Camp of North Lima “Grab & Go” soup fundraiser. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and soup choices are wedding, chicken noodle, baked potato and stuffed pepper. Cost is $8 per quart. Proceeds benefit CDCNL’s day camp program that will take place in August 2019.

St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will offer its next Second Saturday Supper and Lenten fish dinner, including the choice of baked or fried fish, pierogis or parsley potatoes, coleslaw, applesauce, bread/butter, a dessert and beverage from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Cost is $10; $5 for children under 12. Takeouts will be available.

SUNDAY

Cultural Society of St. John the Baptist Church will sponsor a Grab & Go Meal from noon to 3 p.m. at the church hall, 159 Reed Ave., Campbell. Meals will feature kielbasa and sauerkraut sandwich, Slovak potato salad and chips. Tickets are $5 and are available only by presale from society members or by calling 330-755-1979.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Knights of Columbus 3930 will sponsor a Swiss steak dinner at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, from noon to 5 p.m. Cost will be $10 per dinner. Menu includes Swiss steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, salad, bread and butter, desserts and beverages. Carryout and curbside service available. Included will be a basket auction and a 50-50 raffle. Proceeds benefit the men’s renewal program.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the church hall. Cost is $7.50 for adults and $5 for children. All carryouts are $7.50; containers are 75 cents or patrons may provide their own. The Mothers of the Crucifix will host a bake sale during the dinner.

First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Churchill Road, is taking orders for vegetable beef and chicken noodle soups, homemade pepperoni rolls, fresh baked bread and homemade sticky buns. Cost for soup is $5 a quart or $3 a pint. Cost for pepperoni rolls is $8 for large and $2.50 for a single. Bread is $2 for a large loaf and $1.50 for a small loaf, and sticky buns are four for $2.50. Orders must be placed no later than 7 p.m. Oct. 17 by calling 330-759-1460. Pickup will take place from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 20.

St. Lucy Church Cultural Society is taking orders for its homemade sauce and meatball sale. Sauce is $6 per quart and meatballs are $9 per dozen. Berlin Center United Methodist Church, 15611 Akron-Canfield Road, will host a pasta dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 20. Menu includes pasta, meatballs, salad, roll, beverage and choice of dessert. No reservations are required. Dinner will be in conjunction with the church’s fall festival that will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Activities for children will be hosted, and there will be a silent auction and more.

Bessemer Presbyterian Church, 29 N. Main St., will host a ham loaf dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 27. Cost is $10 for adults,$5 for children age 6 to 12 and free for children age 5 and younger. Campbell Knights of Columbus 13466 will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 28 at Palermo Banquet Center, 394 Tenney Ave., Campbell. Tickets for adults are $7 each and $4 for children age 4 to 10. Tickets will be sold at the door.

Cortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., will host a turkey dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 20. Menu includes turkey, homemade dressing, potatoes, gravy, cole slaw, green beans, cranberry sauce, bread, dessert and a beverage. Cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children age 5 to 12 and free for anyone under 5. Proceeds will benefit mission projects of the Cortland United Methodist women.

Ellsworth Community Church, 11171 Akron-Canfield Road, will host a chicken and biscuit benefit dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 21. Menu to include chicken and gravy over biscuits, mashed potatoes, vegetable, dessert and drink. Cost is $8 for adults, $3.50 for children age 4 to 11 and free for children age 3 and younger. First United Methodist Church Girard, 22 N. Market St., will host a creamed chicken on biscuit dinner from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. or until sold out Nov. 3. Cost is $9 and includes main entree, green beans and dessert. No need to pre-order or get out of the car. Drive to the back of the church and pick up dinners, drive-through style.

Good Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market St., North Lima, will host a barbecue dinner from noon to 6 p.m. Oct. 21. Menu includes portions of cherrywood smoked chicken, kielbasa, pork loin, homemade rice pilaf, baked beans and cookies. Dine in or carryout.

Holy Apostles Parish, St. Stephen of Hungary Church and Sts. Peter and Paul Croatian Church are taking orders for a stuffed cabbage carryout sale. Cost is $25 per dozen, packaged fresh in a foil pan ready to reheat or freeze. Pickup will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 21 in the social hall at 854 Wilson Ave., Youngstown. Jackson Township Fire Department and Auxiliary will host a pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 21. The event will take place at the Jackson Township Administration building, 10613 Mahoning Ave.Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children age 5-12 and age 4 and under eat for free. Breakfast includes all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage, coffee, tea, milk, juice or water. Carryouts available. There also will be a basket auction and 50-50 raffle.

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will host Supper at the Corner from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Oct. 18. This supper is free as a community outreach of the church. Donations are accepted to continue the program.

Youngstown Saxon Culture Group is sponsoring a sausage sale. Mild, hot and the group’s own Saxon flavor will be available. Cost is $3.50 per pound, available in 3-pound packages of links, or 5-pound packages of bulk. Pickup will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Saxon Club.
