‘Tod and Civil War’ lecture at library

Traci Manning, local historian and curator of education of the Mahoning Valley Historical Society, will give a presentation on “David Tod and the Civil War” at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Boardman Library, 7680 Glenwood Ave.

‘Love’s Labour’ rock adaptation

NEW WILMINGTON, PA.

Theatre Westminster will present “Love’s Labour’s Lost – A Musical” this week in Beeghly Theater on the Westminster College campus.

Based on the Shakespeare comedy and under the direction of Lester Malizia, the rock musical adaptation will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 2:30 p.m. Oct. 14.

In “Love’s Labour’s Lost” (songs by Michael Friedman, book adapted by Alex Timbers), the King and his friends arrive at their five-year college reunion, vowing to swear off the joys of romance.
