Emmalee Corinne Torisk and Jamison Todd Cocklin, both of Pittsburgh, were united in marriage Aug. 18 during a ceremony officiated by Dan Pompili at the DeYor Performing Arts Center at Edward W. Powers Auditorium in Youngstown. A reception followed in the auditorium’s Grand Lobby.

The bride is the daughter of Anthony and Deborah Torisk of Struthers.

Amy Cocklin of Orrington, Maine, and the late Todd Cocklin are the parents of the groom.

Olivia Torisk, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Boon; Melissa Tarnaski; and Stevie Cocklin, the groom’s sister. They wore gold dresses.

The bride wore an ivory crystalette satin ballgown with overlay lace that her maternal grandmother wore at her wedding in 1957 and which was made by the bride’s great-grandmother. For the reception, the bride wore an ecru tulle ballgown embellished with floral appliques.

Josh Kochis and Danny Restivo shared the responsibilities of best man., and Matt Soucy and Guy D’Astolfo were groomsmen.

The bride, who is retaining her maiden name, graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in English. She is pursuing a doctorate in rhetoric at Duquesne University, where she is an adjunct professor. She is an associate staff editor for the Oncology Nursing Society in Pittsburgh.

Mr. Cocklin graduated from the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He works for Natural Gas Intelligence in Sterling, Va., as a senior editor.

The couple honeymooned in Palm Springs, Calif., and reside in Pittsburgh.
