Church to host Fall Fest

St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 220 N. Walnut St., Youngstown, will host its Fall Fest Saturday and Sunday. The event coincides with Youngstown State University’s Homecoming weekend. There will be food available for purchase in quantities that feed six people, nine people and more and will be available for dine in or takeout. Local farm will host ‘Scare Away Hunger’

White House Fruit Farm, 9249 Youngstown-Salem Road, will host “Scare Away Hunger” with scarecrows that have been made and donated by businesses, schools, churches, organizations, individuals and families to assist the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley.
Scarecrows will be on display Oct. 8 through 22 and the winner will be announced Oct. 22. Anyone who visits the farm may purchase $1 tickets in the Gift Barn to vote for their favorite scarecrow. All donations and clothing from the Scarecrows will benefit the Rescue Mission. The winner will receive fresh cider and doughnuts.
Girl’s Night Out set for Tuesday

Warren Women’s Connection will host a buffet dinner for “Girl’s Night Out” at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 9 at DiLucia’s Banquet Center, 2610 Elm Road. Doors open at 6:15. Walk Warm begins
COLUMBIANA
The Columbiana Village School District has resumed its “Walk Warm Program” and invites adults to walk in the school hallways for exercise away from inclement weather.
Columbiana High School will be open from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday each week through the main doors only for entrance into the building.
Joshua Dixon Elementary School will be open from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday each week with entrance through only the main doors. Exit can be made through any door of each building.
