VFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the post home, 3161 W. South Range Road, New Springfield.

VFW Post 3538 Auxiliary will host its monthly meeting Monday at 6 p.m. at the post home, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers.

CLUBS

Friends of the Poland Library will meet Monday in the Poland Library Meeting Room, beginning with a short meeting at 9:30 a.m., followed by a program and picnic. Melissa Ames, vice president of Better Business Services, will present “Scams, Frauds, and How to Protect Yourself.” Hostesses will be Dana Cina, Mary Lou Carbon, Beverly Gibson and Sue Perry. The meeting is open to the public, and new members are welcome. Membership dues are $10 per year.

Junior Seton Circle will meet for lunch at noon Thursday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. A program on autism will be presented by Gregory Boerio.

Mahoning Valley Chapter of Polka Dot Powerhouse will meet Tuesday at Upstairs Restaurant, 4500 Mahoning Ave., Austintown, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Positive women interested in business and personal connections can attend their first meeting at no cost. Grief Recovery Instructional Support Groups will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home Care Center, next to the funeral home, on Main Street in Hubbard. The groups are led by Phillip Roland, grief counselor for the funeral home, and are open to anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one. NAMI Mahoning Valley offers Connections support groups for adults living with mental illness, in a discussion format, to promote self-disclosure in a safe, relaxed, supportive and confidential environment. NAMI Mahoning Valley also offers Family Support Groups that provide information and support for family members and friends of individuals with mental illness. Family groups meet the first Thursday of each month at 11 a.m. at Girard Library, 105 E. Prospect St.; and the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at Alta Care, 142 Javit Court. Youngstown Area PFLAG will have its monthly support meeting from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown. Youngstown Area PFLAG (Parents, Families, Friends, and Allies) is a support, education and advocacy group United with the LGBT community to move equality forward. Meetings are free and confidential. Parking is available in the church lot off of Wick Avenue and, for this meeting only, in the YSU and library lots adjacent to the church.
