Aretha Franklin tribute this Friday

A Tribute to the late Aretha Franklin featuring Karla Agee Seldon will take place 10 p.m. Thursday to 1 a.m. Friday at Martha’s Boulevard Tavern, 3503 Southern Blvd. with $5 admission at the door.

Corvettes of the Valley exhibit

WARREN

The National Packard Museum exhibit “Corvettes of the Valley” features one car from each of the seven different generations of Corvettes produced since 1953 along with a rare 1963 split window coupe, on loan from Anthony J. Ricci, Jr. of Boardman.

Besides honoring the legendary car, the exhibit also celebrates the history of the Corvette Clubs of the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys. Mahoning Valley Corvettes, organized in 1961, and the Shenango Valley Corvette Club, organized in 1985, are active members of the National Council of Corvette Clubs.

The museum is located at 1899 Mahoning Ave., N.W., Warren. Museum hours are: Tuesday - Saturday: noon to 5 p.m.; Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. and closed Mondays.

Admission is $8 for adults; seniors (65+) and children (7-12 years-old) are $5 each and those younger than 7 years-old are free.

ACRONYM at Ford Family Recital Hall

ACRONYM, a baroque string ensemble, will perform a concert of music commemorating The Battle of Vienna of 1683 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The performance will take place at Ford Family Recital Hall, DeYor Performing Arts Center, 260 W. Federal St., Youngstown.
