Museum offers cards that feature landmarks

Playing cards decorated with 55 different Trumbull County monuments, buildings and local people from history are on sale now at the Sutliff Museum. Clarence Darrow, the old Howland Springs Park, Trumbull County Courthouse and the Vienna soldier’s monument are a sampling of the images that are nostalgic for current and former residents and soldiers deployed away from home for the holidays. The decks also are available in boxed sets of two. Cost is $10 a deck or $18 for boxed sets. Decks may be purchased at the Sutliff Museum, located on the second floor of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave., from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Tree lighting will take place Sunday
North Jackson
Jackson Township Citizens Association will host the annual Community Tree Lighting at 6 p.m. Dec. 2 at the township gazebo, 10613 Mahoning Ave. Members from Gethsemane Lutheran Church choir, Jackson Milton Band and the Boy Scouts will participate. Refreshments will be served.
