Olde Fashioned Christmas
When: Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
What: A unique but traditional holiday event at Lanterman’s Mill. Fire-roasted chestnuts, artisans demonstrating crafts, unique handcrafted gifts for sale, and festive entertainment will put you in a festive mood. To share the holiday spirit with others, bring a new hat, scarf, or pair of mittens to decorate a “Giving Tree” for children in need this winter.

Turkey Scavenger Hunt
When: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
What: Bring the family to Ford Nature Center and look for the 20 hidden paper turkeys. Then go for a self-guided hike on one of our many trails and keep your eyes open for the wild turkeys that call this area home.

Mill Hike
When: Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.
What: Still feeling full after that Thanksgiving feast? Need to get out of the house? Join naturalist Marilyn Williams to enjoy an after-Thanksgiving hike to visit Christmas at the Mill.

Santa’s Winter Barn
When: Sunday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
What: Santa is getting ready for the big day, but he has agreed to bring some of his animals from around the world for a visit. Great photo opportunity to sit in Santa’s sleigh and see a reindeer.
Where: MetroParks Farm barn, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road, Canfield.

Garden Art: Holiday Containers
When: Monday, 1 to 3 p.m.
What: Turn outdoor containers into holiday masterpieces. We’ll cover form and style and provide greenery, berries and other cuttings. Bring up to a 12-inch pot filled with soil. Cut off plants. Do not dig so design stays in place.
Where: OSU Extension Office, 490 S. Broad St., Canfield.
Cost: $20 per person.
