Woman charged with murder in fatal drive-by shooting in Cleveland

CLEVELAND (AP) — Authorities say a woman accused in a drive-by shooting that killed one woman and injured another in Cleveland has been charged with aggravated murder.

Cleveland Municipal Court records show 21-year-old Britney Brown was charged Monday in the Oct. 10 shooting. Court records say Brown is accused of fatally shooting 29-year-old Tierra East and injuring another woman outside a convenience store.

Police said East and a group of family members were standing in the parking lot of the convenience store when a car drove by and someone inside the vehicle began shooting. East was taken to a hospital where she died. The other woman was treated for her injuries.

A warrant has been issued for Brown, of Bratenahl. Court records don’t show an attorney for her.
