Method 8 to screen latest film, ‘Pimbolton Park’

Method 8 performing arts group will screen its latest movie, “Pimbolton Park,” at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Holiday Inn, 7410 South Ave.

Admission is $5. and all proceeds go toward the performing arts programs at Medhod 8.

Method 8 has produced more than 200 short film projects in its 11 years, all of which can be viewed at method8inc.com.

“Pimbolton Park, which was filmed in the Valley with local actors,” aims to increase awareness of problems that young people face.

The film is about a newly elected politician who is eager to bring jobs to a rundown city but faces an obstacle when a group of kids come together to stop him from tearing down a historic dance hall in the city.

The cast includes Brian K. West of Boardman, who is also the founder and owner of Method 8; Joyce Jones, Youngstown; Sa’Riya Hildreth, Boardman; James Jones, Youngstown; Jason Scott, Struthers; Jessica Berg, Struthers; Edward Frame, Struthers; Solomon Kennedy, Youngstown; Mykel Hubbard, Youngstown; Eugene Hubbard Jr., Youngstown; MaryLynn Kirkwood, Boardman; and Delaney Malley, Struthers.
