C.H. Campbell Elementary School students were given the opportunity to get creative this Halloween for the school’s annual PTO pumpkin decorating contest. Digging deep into their imaginations, the students went all out decorating their pumpkins at home and then brought them to school to be displayed in the hallways.
The pumpkins could not be carved so the students used paint, glitter, ribbons, bows, puff balls and several other art elements and props. The pumpkins were on display at the school the week of Halloween.
Among the large variety of pumpkins on display were superheroes, bubble gum machines, an array of sports teams, princesses, doughnuts, emojis, cats and dogs, and witches and vampires.
Every pumpkin entry received an award, such as Sneakiest Snake, Best Dressed, Best Sparkle, Most Whimsical, Most Colorful, Coolest Skull, Coolest Black Cat, Best Family Size Popcorn, Most Mystical and Most Team Spirit.
