YOUNGSTOWN
Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for fresh potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen.
No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. or until sold out today and at 10:30 a.m. Friday, if available, by calling 330-746-9528. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Lunches also will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
School to host dance marathon fundraiser
CANFIELD
South Range High School, 11300 Columbiana-Canfield Road, suite M, will host its Mini Dance Marathon fundraiser to benefit Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Olivia Donadee, a senior, chose to organize the event as her senior project. She has spent the past few months raising awareness of childhood illnesses. Donadee has collaborated with students from Youngstown State University’s Guinathon, a student organization that also raises funds and awareness for Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley.
She has also collaborated with Laura Elder, whose teenage daughter Elizabeth is one of Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley’s “Miracle Kids” and a student at South Range High School.

Library to host wildlife program Monday

Monday’s “Go Wild in the Park” series program will feature a talk about Beaver Creek Wildlife Education Center by the Center’s volunteers. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Salem Public Library’s Quaker Room, 821 E. State St.
The family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Registration is required and may be done online at www.salem.lib.oh.us, by calling the library at 330-332-0042 or Amber Smith at 330-332-5512. Beaver Creek Wildlife Education Center, 12798 Echo Dell Road, East Liverpool, is run by volunteers who maintain the center’s nature and wildlife collections and provide educational programming about nature at the center and through outreach educational talks.
Community breakfast planned for Dec. 1
NEW MIDDLETOWN
A community breakfast with Santa will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Dec. 1 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 10143 Main St. This fundraising event will benefit the Springfield Library. Participants are asked to take their own cameras. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children and free to children under 2. Tickets can be purchased at the door. For information, call 330-740-6086.
