Salem Regional Medical Center Auxiliary will sponsor a “Collective Goods” book fair, which will feature a large selection of books and seasonal items at discounted prices. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday in SRMC’s private dining room at the back of the cafeteria on the hospital’s ground floor, 1995 E. CRAFT SHOWS

First Presbyterian Church, 3654 Main St., Mineral Ridge, will have a craft show at the church from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. There will be a variety of vendors, and there is still room for a few more. Call the church office at 330-652-5712 to rent a space. The event will feature a full lunch counter and raffles.

FUNDRAISERS

Big Brothers Big Sisters will host a “Jingle Bell Calendar Raffle” fundraiser during the month of December. All participants who donate $10 will be eligible to win $50 per day in December based on the 3-digit Pennsylvania evening drawing. The prize is $500 on Dec. 31. Sojourn to the Past students will have a fundraiser from 4 to 8 p.m. Nov. 19 at Chipotle in Boardman. The community is encouraged to come support Youngstown high-school students as they work to raise their portion of the money needed to participate in Sojourn to the Past. Participants should tell the cashier that they are supporting the Sojourn to the Past fundraiser.

Winona Area Historical Society will host its 7th annual Christmas in the Country fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 1 in the restored 1938 Meeting House. The facility is handicap-accessible. Proceeds will be used for archival storage and display materials and for general operating expenses. The fundraiser will include functional and decorative items that were handcrafted and donated by local artisans. Featured items will be rustic game boards crafted from original meeting house ceiling boards, bird houses, rustic Santas, wooden children’s toys and puzzles, keepsake boxes, garden totes and earth staples, the fourth annual WAHS Christmas ornament depicting the Winona United Methodist Church, knitted tea cozies, Christmas silk and grapevine wreaths, horseshoe d cor, homemade pies, artisanal jams and jellies, specialty breads, and more. The Trash and Treasures table will offer gently-used Christmas decor.

Good Hope Relay for Life is sponsoring its annual Christmas wreath sale. Wreaths are $15 each or $18 with cemetery stand. Each 22-inch mixed pine and fir wreath comes with a red velvet bow. The wreaths will be made fresh at Rodgers’ Pine Hill Farm in New Castle, Pa. Orders must be turned in by Nov. 26 to Bobbie Chalky, 56 Leighton Ave., Boardman, OH 44512, or call 330-502-6044. Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County has tickets available for the 15th annual Dining for Good Living event that will take place Friday at the Villa Banquet Center, 2500 New Butler Road, New Castle, Pa. Proceeds will benefit victims of domestic abuse, sexual assault and other violent crimes. The theme will be “Cheers to 15 Years.” The event will include food, dancing and live entertainment. Fraternal Order of Eagles Meander, Aerie 3298, 1655 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown, will host a charity Christmas Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Goodness Grows, a nonprofit organization cultivating personal, social and community growth through gardening, education and opportunity for people of all abilities, will host its Friends-Giving Week fundraiser at Diletto Winery Nov. 21 through Nov. 24 at 8578 Market St., Boardman. Friends-Giving Week 2018 will begin with the Wine and Wings event from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 21 that will feature live music by The Black Wolf and the Thief, wings and wine by Diletto Winery, jams, wine charms and other Goodness Grows products for purchase.
