Lecture explores founders’ views
WARREN
Wendy Schiller will give a presentation titled “What Would the Founding Fathers Say About America Today?” at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. NW.
She attempts to answer the questions: Is the United States the democratic republic that our founders envisioned when they wrote the Constitution? What would their views be on gun control, same-sex marriage and the role of religion in civil and political life, and how would they view the social changes brought on by the advances in technology?
Tickets are $35 at the box office. For information, call 330-240-1706. This is a Trumbull Town Hall presentation.
Schiller is a professor of political science and public affairs at Brown university.
