ELECTION UPDATE | Levies seeing support across Mahoning County

YOUNGSTOWN — A 1.85-mill operating levy renewal for Mahoning County Children Services had overwhelming support from absentee voters, according to unofficial early results from the county Board of Elections.

About 70 percent of absentee voters (19,096 total votes) backed the levy.

The margin for the county Mental Health and Recovery Board's 1.35-mill renewal and increase is narrower, with 59 percent of absentee voters in favor.

A 3.2-mill levy renewal and increase for Austintown police has 55 percent of absentee vote support.
