ELECTION UPDATE | 21 Trumbull precincts without power
WARREN
First Energy reported 4,454 Trumbull County residents continue experiencing a power outage due to severe weather.
Warren city was hit hardest with 2,574 outages. Warren Township residents have 1,969 reported residents without power.
A Trumbull County Board of Elections official said 21 precincts are without power, but seven of them have back-up generators.
The board took paper ballots to those without power to ensure everyone can still vote.
An official said back-up generators are being sent to the affected precincts.
After Warren township, the village of Lordstown experienced the most outages, with 1,602 outages reported.
The following Trumbull County townships are also affected: Bazetta, Bloomfield, Braceville, Bristol, Farmington, Champion, Greene, Gustavus, Kinsman, Mecca, Mesopotamia, Newton, Southington and Weathersfield.
Niles and the villages of Yankee Lake and West Farmington are affected.
As of 7:06 p.m., First Energy reported 4,454 customer outages in Trumbull County; 255 in Mahoning County, and 30 in Columbiana County.
