‘Why Me’ stage play returns to Powers

YOUNGSTOWN

Writer-director Michael Anthony Forney Jr. will present his play “Why Me” at Powers Auditorium at 8 p.m. Nov. 9.

The play, which premiered at Powers in 2012, is a story about a beautiful loving wife named Kimberly who must go back in time with a mysterious stranger who guides her into learning how and why she was tragically murdered inside her own home. Saxophone recital at St. John’s church

James Umble, director of the saxophone studio at the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University, will give a recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave.

Music at Noon concerts at Butler

YOUNGSTOWN

The Dana School of Music’s free Music at Noon concert series will continue on Wednesdays in November with three dates scheduled.

All concerts begin at 12:15 p.m. at Beecher Court in the Butler Institute of American Art, 524 Wick Ave. There will be no concert Nov. 21, while the Nov. 28 concert will be in the Butler North building due to the American Holiday craft show at the Butler. Here is the schedule:
