YOUNGSTOWN
The Oak Hill Collaborative is hosting its first High School Video Game Development Workshop.
The first two sessions will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and Nov. 10 at the collaborative, 507 Oak Hill Ave. The final session will be at Youngstown State University on Nov. 17, where final game productions will be judged and awards presented to students, including Youngstown State University scholarships of $500, $300 and $200.
This free workshop, made possible by a contribution from AT&T and with the support of YSU, Pizza Joe’s, and EIM Games, will be attended by 25 area students. It is intended to engage students in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) education and the possibility of STEAM careers in areas of interest.
Road closing delayed
NEWTON
The closing of Salt Springs Road in Newton Township has been postponed, the Trumbull County Engineer’s office announced. The road will remain open until further notice.
