Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Basilica was the setting at 2 p.m. July 21 as marriage vows were exchanged by Allison Armeni of Youngstown and Thomas Bottorff of Cortland.

Monsignor Michael Cariglio officiated, and a reception took place at The Embassy in Youngstown.

Daniel and Linda Armeni of Youngstown are the bride’s parents, and the groom is a son of Alan and Merrily Bottorff of Cortland.

Andrea Tharp, the bride’s sister, was matron of honor. She wore a sage green gown, as did the bridesmaids, Emily Baker, Sabrina Long, Brittany Mihaly, Carissa Switzer, Kara Banks and Lydia Holden.

Luke Bottorff performed the duties of best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Joshua Copeland; David Tharp, the bride’s brother-in-law; Nathaniel Painter; Gavin Switzer; Philip Pavick; and Marty Urchek.

The groom’s nephew, Camden Bottorff, was ring bearer.

Mrs. Bottorff is a graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She will graduate in December with a master’s degree in nursing and work as a family nurse practitioner.

Her husband earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise pathology from Kent State University and a master’s degree in athletic training from the University of Findlay. He is employed as an athletic trainer with Mercy Health in Howland.

The couple honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and live in Youngstown.
