Pa. Uber driver accused of raping unconscious passenger
LANSDALE, Pa. (AP) — Police say an Uber driver has been charged with raping a passenger he picked up a casino and who became unconscious in the car.
Ahmed Elgaafary, of Lansdale, faces multiple offenses, including rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, misdemeanor, indecent assault without consent, and indecent assault of an unconscious person.
Pennsylvania State Police say they alleged attack happened in Feb. 10 about 2:20 a.m., after he picked the woman up from the Valley Forge Casino in King of Prussia. Rather than taking her home, police allege he took her to a residence and raped her. He was charged on Wednesday.
Although the alleged rape happened back in February, neighbors tell WXTF-TV he continued driving for the ride share service until recently.
Elgaafary is in Chester County Prison.
