Church to host auction, dinner Sunday

YOUNGSTOWN

St. Brendan Church Maxwell Hall, 2800 Oakwood Ave., will host a quarter auction and spaghetti dinnerSunday. Doors open at 4 p.m., and auction begins at 5. Cost is $10 for anyone 14 and up (includes two paddles); and $5 for anyone 6 to 13 (includes one paddle). Children 5 and under eat free. Additional bidding paddles are 3/$5. The event will include a basket and 50-50 raffle. Participants should take quarters for bidding.

Spaghetti dinner fundraiser planned

Wreaths for Veterans will sponsor a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Western Reserve Schools, 13850 W. Akron-Canfield Road. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Church to sponsor brunch Sunday

St. James the Apostle Church, 4019 U.S. state Route 422, will host John’s Breakfast Brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.

The menu will include French toast, sweet cheese filling, buttermilk or buckwheat pancakes, with choice of maple or apple syrup, scrambled eggs, eggs scrambled with peppers, onions and cheese, home fries, bacon, sausage, ham, toast, cinnamon rolls, hot and cold cereals, coffee, tea, juice and milk. Cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children.
