Volunteer Naturalist Hike
When: Saturday, 1-2:30 p.m.
What: Enjoy an afternoon hike with Ohio certified volunteer naturalist Jim Thornton to Lanterman’s Mill.
Where: Scholl Recreation Area, 2665 Bears Den Road, Youngstown.
Cost: Free
Details: Moderate difficulty, 2.5 miles.

Community Garden & Urban Farm Tour

What: Learn about getting started with a vegetable garden.

Children’s Nature Hour
When: Next Thursday, 10-11a.m.
What: We read the beautiful story, “Quiet in the Garden” by Aliki, then discover what we see and hear when we are quiet in the garden.
Where: Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Ave., Youngstown.
Cost: $4 for Mahoning County residents, $6 NR.

Bees in Your Backyard
When: Wednesday, 7-8:30 p.m.
What: Learn from bee expert Olivia Carril. Focus on practical ID in the field, using cameras or phones to capture images. We’ll practice hands-on bee identification through microscopes and exploration in the field with Olivia and a team of biology experts.

Family Tour Thursdays
