The Mount Olive Fire Baptized Holiness Church, 124 W. Marion Ave., presents a “Celebration of YOU” program at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. The theme is “Undaunted Faith-You Got the Potential to Succeed.” Minister Wendy Robinson will be the speaker. This event is open to the community.

Memorial Day service

YOUNGSTOWN

The Faith Fellowship Church of God, 388 E. Midlothian Blvd., is having a special Memorial Day service at 10:45 a.m. Sunday. The speaker will be Dr. Jack G. Bridges, Civil Air Patrol chaplain, and his topic will be “A Memorial Before God.” Pastor Jonathan Mitchell will also participate in the service.

Healing service

The New Grace Missionary Baptist Church, 909 Fairgreen Ave., will host a healing and deliverance service at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Mary Austin.

As the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown recognizes its 75th Jubilee anniversary, the celebration continues with the launch of its new website, www.DOY.org. The website will help bolster the online branding efforts of the diocese, as well as use different technologies to unite parishes, parishioners and their faith-based community across Northeast Ohio.

Drive-in services

ANDOVER

Andover United Methodist Church, 181 S. Main St., invites the public to attend the Drive-In Outdoor Services beginning at 9:30 a.m. Sundays starting this Sunday through Sept. 2. The services will take place at the intersection of state Route 7 and Marvin Road.

Special musical services will be provided by Sound Witness on June 24, Dan Shall on Aug. 12 and Golden State Singers on Aug. 19.

Baby Blessing

WARREN

Second Baptist Church, 1510 Main Ave. SW, will host a citywide baby blessing at 10:15 a.m. Sunday. Pastor Todd Johnson will offer prayer and blessing over babies and children from the community up to age 11.

The blessing is open to all families. Each family will receive a certificate of blessing and a photo with the pastor. The Second Baptist Women’s Ministry will also distribute diapers and wipes collected from its recent “Bundles of Blessings” project to families with babies. Memorial Day Mass

St. Columba Cathedral, 159 Rayen Ave., will have one Mass at 9:30 a.m. on Memorial Day. The regular Mass and Confession schedule will resume Tuesday..

Transitional Deacon

YOUNGSTOWN

Seminarian Simon Mino will be ordained a Transitional Deacon for the Diocese of Youngstown next Saturday. The ordination ceremony will take place at St. Columba Cathedral, 159 Rayen Ave., at 10:30 a.m. Mino will be ordained by the Most Rev. Martin J. Amos, Bishop of Emeritus of Davenport, Iowa.

There will be a Catholic-Orthodox Dialogue sponsored by the Society of St. John Chrysostom’s Youngstown-Warren Chapter from 7 to 9 p.m. June 5 at St. Maron’s Catholic Church, 1555 S. Meridian Road.

The topics will be “The History of the Filioque Problem” and “How Western Scholasticism Changed the Theological/Philosophical Approach Inherited from the Fathers of the Church.” Father David Fisher, Maronite Catholic priest and theologian, is the speaker.

St. Anthony’s Relics

BOARDMAN

St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 7345 Westview Drive, will host St. Anthony’s Relics from his Basilica in Padua, Italy, on June 12. The relics will be accompanied by Friar Mario Conte from the Messenger of St. Anthony is Padua. The Mass/Novena will begin at 7 p.m., and an evening veneration is at 8 p.m.

Meditation classes

LIBERTY

The Unity Centre for Spiritual Living, 1226 Naylor Lloyd Road, will offer a series of classes on “Meditation and Mindfulness.” This series of six classes will be conducted by Patti Turchon and will run at 6:30 p.m. Mondays beginning June 4 until July 9. The fees for the classes are $36 payable in advance to the center.

Attendees will also need a folder, notebook and a pillow. Chairs will be provided if you are not able to sit on the floor. It is advisable to wear loose, comfortable clothes. For information call 330-539-0122.

Summer camps

Registrations are being accepted for two summer day camps for children and youth at Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center, 2067 Evergreen St.

Children ages 5 to 10 are invited to choose Thursday or Friday sessions for GROW Camp, which is a once-a-week gardening and outdoor activities camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning June 14 or 15 until Aug. 9 or 10.
