Association to host golf tournament

CANFIELD

The William Penn Association will host its annual golf tournament and scholarship days July 14 at Kennsington Golf Course, 4171 Westford Place. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. All funds generated during this event will benefit the WPA scholarship fund. If paid by Friday, the registration fee is $75 for members and $85 for nonmembers. After that date, the cost will be $85 for members and $98 for nonmembers. If only attending the July 13 reception, cost is $10. If only attending the July 14 banquet, cost is $25 for members and $35 for nonmembers. For reservations or information, call 1-800-848-7366, ext. 149. The final reservation date is June 15.

Columbiana to host block parties

COLUMBIANA

The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce will host First Friday Block Parties on June 1, July 6 and Aug. 3. The event is free and is from 5 to 8 p.m. on South Main Street. There will be shopping, food, entertainment and special events.

The first event June 1 will feature a car show by the Kool Time Kruisers, a remote-control car race for children and adults, entertainment, merchant specials and food. The chamber is seeking performing artists to provide entertainment as well as vendors and direct sales representatives. For information or to schedule a space, call the chamber office at 330-482-3822.
