Red Zone host event at 2 p.m. today to honor its community partners


YOUNGSTOWN — In celebration of National Mental Health Awareness month, The Red Zone will honor its strategic community partners for their commitment to facilitate opportunities for increased awareness in addiction treatment, mental and behavioral health integration, education and advocacy from 2 to 4 p.m. today at The Red Zone, at 209 W. Woodland Ave.

The Red Zone serves more than 1,500 children and adults in North and Central Ohio, who are impacted by drug and alcohol abuse, low-income disparities and mental illness.

Honorees will include Brandon Perry, City Kids Care Founder; Jim Tressel, Youngstown State University president; Councilman Julius Oliver, D-1st; Krish Mohip, Youngstown City School District CEO; and Matt Glover, Struthers Municipal Court chief probation officer.
