Liberty Walmart evacuated for bomb threat today

LIBERTY

A bomb threat late this afternoon at the Walmart Department Store in Liberty Plaza caused police and fire department personnel to evacuate customers and employees at about 6 p.m.

After a search of the building by safety personnel and a bomb-sniffing dog, officials decided there was no threat and employees were sent back to work at about 6:30.

Police said the threat remains under investigation.
