Auto theft: Police were dispatched to Boardman Area Court to book Jasmine S.L. Dawkins, 24, of Maryland Street, Warren, on a charge of grand theft of a motor vehicle, related to an April 10 incident in which a New England Boulevard woman alleged Dawkins had taken her 2006 Chevrolet Impala without permission.
Theft: Jennifer L. Milligan, 32, who listed Youngstown addresses on Price Road and Neilson Avenue, was charged in the theft of eight articles of clothing valued at $225 from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.
Arrest: Police at Boardman Area Court on Market Street booked David P. Rowbotham, 41, on a charge of violating a protection order. Rowbotham, of Powers Way, Youngstown, violated the order that stated he was not to use alcohol or illegal drugs when he was issued a speeding ticket in late March and cited on a marijuana-possession charge, authorities allegd.
Vandalism: A woman reportedly moved into a vacant apartment in the 800 block of Cook Avenue before the propety owner discovered damage to its door slabs, paint and walls that totaled about $11,000.
Theft: Two men reportedly fled after having stolen $26 worth of beef snacks from Family Dollar, 4030 Market St.
Identity fraud: A Lost Creek Drive woman found out a phony Facebook account had been oened in her name but without consent, and that it contained disturbing messages.
Theft by deception: A Simon Road woman discovered her $1,117 government-issued check had been cashed without permission.
Drugs: Police onducted a drug investigation and a welfare check at a South Avenue mobile-home park, where they reportedly found drug paraphernalia and suspected marijuana in one of the units, though no one was home.
Harassment: A Mathews Road woman said a former acquaintance continually makes and sends her such calls and text messages. At one point, she was receiving up to 50 unwanted daily calls, she further reported.
Auto theft: A 2009 Pontiac G6 was stolen in the 5200 block of Southern Boulevard.

Theft: Officers at the Trumbull County jail arrested Amber N. Digrino, 29, of North Olmstead on a theft charge after a $500 computer and other merchandise was stolen in June 2015 from Walmart.
Identity fraud: A Youngstown man found $460 worth of fraudulent activity, via five unauthorized withdrawals, as he visited a Market Street credit union.
Theft: A woman in her late 20s or early 30s reportedly stole $25 worth of socks and clothing from Gabe’s, 850 Boardman-Poland Road.
Identity fraud: A Holbrooke Road man discovered someone had stolen his credit-card information and made several unauthorized charges.
Theft: A manager with Ultimate Protection Inc., 590 E. Western Reserve Road, reported a customer had leased but failed to return an ignition-interlock device.
Trespassing: A Melrose Avenue woman noticed items were moved and out of place in her garage after someone likely had entered.
Theft: Nicole L. Hester, 23, of Crandall Avenue, Youngstown, was charged with stealing $109 worth of property that included a tank top from Walmart.
Theft: Odell Oakley III, 48, of Winona Drive, Youngstown, was picked up while walking near U.S. Route 224 and charged with theft, receiving stolen property and possessing drug paraphernalia after police alleged he was carrying a box thought to contain a cologne set that had been stolen from Dillard’s in Southern Park Mall. In addition, Oakley, who had a suspected crack-cocaine pipe, also was found with wristwatches, earrings and a bracelet set that had been taken from Sears, also in the mall, officers alleged.

Identity fraud: A Youngstown woman discovered someone had fraudulently withdrawn a total of $460 on five occasions from her checking account at a Market Street credit union.
Theft: A woman reportedly stole $25 worth of socks and clothing from Gabe’s, 850 Boardman-Poland Road.
April 26
Burglary: To an apartment in the 3900 block of South Schenley Avenue via the front door. A 40-inch smart TV was removed from the living room.
Counterfeit: An official with Boardman Center Intermediate School on Market Street reported a student had brought to school 16 phony $100 bills, some of which he apparently passed to fellow students.
Criminal damaging: A woman told police that two walls to a piece of rental property she owns in the 100 block of Shields Road sustained damage, which was estimated at $300.
Theft: A woman reported her son’s $65 mountain bike had been taken from the front porch to their Oakridge Drive residence.
Theft: Julie M. Lehman, 35, of Sunny Estates Drive, Niles, was charged with making a fraudulent return at Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road, via merchandise that had been reported stolen from the Niles location, and receiving $105 in store credit. Lehman, who also was accused of stealing a $34 pair of sunglasses from the Boardman department store, faced an additional charge of possessing drug paraphernalia when, authorities alleged, she admitted having a suspected crack-cocaine pipe.
Theft: Police at a Market Street motel took into custody Alvin P. Traylor III, 50, of Detroit Avenue, Youngstown, and Orlanda M. Dodson, 51, of Council Rock Drive, Youngstown, on warrants after four cartons of cigarettes were stolen April 22 from Walgreens Pharmacy, 7295 Market St.
Theft: Jamie J. Jones of Canfield Road, Youngstown, was charged after police alleged Jones, 32, had stolen a $12 pair of leggings from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive, then returned the item to the customer-service counter for a refund.
April 27
Arrest: Authorities conducting an investigation at a Boardman-Poland Road bank picked up Brittney R. Reber, 24, of Lucius Avenue, Youngstown, upon learning that Reber was wanted on a warrant accusing her of failing to appear in Campbell Municipal Court.
Assault: After a Boardman Center Intermediate School official had reported an assault, police watched surveillance footage that reportedly showed a girl intentionally tripping another student as they entered a classroom, apparently as part of a three-month pattern of harassment.
Theft: An employee with a McClurg Road business reported her debit card stolen while at work.
Drug paraphernalia: Police in the 7100 block of Market Street arrested Alvin P. Traylor III, 50, who listed addresses on Market Street in Boardman and Detroit Avenue in Youngstown. Traylor, who was wanted on three warrants, also was charged with having a suspected crack-cocaine pipe in his pocket.
Arrest: Officers responding to a possible domestic situation at a Glenwood Avenue apartment charged Celeste G. Wolfe, 26, with obstructing official business after alleging Wolfe, of East Philadelphia Avenue, Youngstown, provided a false name and date of birth during the investigation.
Breaking and entering: Authorities at the Columbiana County jail arrested Joshua A. Burke, 24, of Shadyside Drive, Boardman, on a breaking-and-entering charge, related to a December 2015 break-in at a vacant home in the 4800 block of Grover Drive. A $400 pressure washer was removed from the premises.
Theft: Hubbard Township police handed to Boardman authorities Jacob C. Mercado, 21, of Ohio Avenue, Youngstown, who was wanted on a theft charge, related to a Feb. 26 shoplifting situation in which $605 worth of goods was stolen from Walmart.
Drugs: A traffic stop near Southern Boulevard led to the arrest of Matthew J. Crowl, 39, who listed addresses on Market Street in North Lima and state Route 30 in Lisbon, and who was charged with possessing drug-abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia after police alleged having found a used syringe and a cotton swab with drug residue. Also taken into custody was Christopher A. Juillerat, 29, of Pennsylvania, who was wanted on a Columbiana County warrant charging disorderly conduct.
Theft: A Centervale Avenue woman noticed a wallet, $70 and other items missing from her vehicle.
April 28
Arrest: While responding to a vehicular crash with possible injuries at an East Western Reserve Road gas station, officers charged Paul M. Scahill, 53, of Upper Arlington, Ohio, with operating a vehicle impaired, and cited him on a charge of failure to control a motor vehicle. Scahill refused to submit to urine and breath tests, a report showed.
Assault: A Poland woman alleged her former boyfriend’s current girlfriend, of Stadler Avenue, knocked her to the ground and punched the accuser in the head when she returned to the apartment thinking she had left her cellphone there. The victim complained of pain to her head and lip.
Arrest: Officers in the 500 block of Oakridge Drive arrested Clyde G. Carter Jr., 51, after learning that the Harrisonville, Va., man was wanted on a warrant from that state.
Arrest: After pulling him over near Mathews Road, authorities charged Montrail D. Berry, 29, of Taft Avenue, Youngstown, with operating a vehicle impaired. Berry refused to undergo a Breathalyzer test, a report said.
Theft: A Poland woman noticed a $500 iPhone and its case missing from her car while she patronized a Boardman-Poland Road hair salon.
Extortion: A Shadyside Drive man told police he had received a text message demanding $300 or the sender would release apparently unflattering information about the accuser on the internet.
Arrest: Police answered a fight call at a Market Street motel, where they took into custody William D. Vancil, 40, upon ascertaining the New Carlisle, Ohio, man was wanted on a Greene County, Ohio, felony warrant charging child neglect.
Theft: A woman reportedly stole $30 worth of children’s clothing from Family Dollar, 4030 Market St.
Theft: Authorities charged Mickey R. Vargas, 24, after alleging Vargas, of Wyandot Lane, Youngstown, had taken a T-shirt, license-plate fasteners and another shirt from Walmart.

Arrest: While assisting at an Austintown checkpoint on state Route 46, police charged William V. Greathouse, 33, with operating a vehicle impaired. Greathouse, of Manor Drive, Brookfield, registered a 0.179 blood-alcohol content, which is more than double Ohio’s 0.08 legal intoxication limit, a report stated.
Assault: A 16-year-old girl alleged her former boyfriend had choked her when the teen went to a Bonnie Place apartment to retrieve personal belongings.
Theft: Two 16-year-old Youngstown girls reportedly stole $175 worth of merchandise, including body wash, from Walmart.
Theft by deception: A Bob-o-Link Drive woman told police that after having posted online a request to buy an iPhone, a man who made an offer showed up at her residence, where she gave him $400 only to receive an older model that had a shattered screen.
Theft: Henry A. Garner, 54, of East Auburndale Avenue, Youngstown, was charged, accused of taking about $44 worth of candy from Family Dollar, 4030 Market St.
Harassment: A worker with a Tiffany Boulevard motel reported an irate caller made derogatory remarks upon seeing that his credit card was charged for renting a room that had sustained damage.
Drugs: A traffic stop near an Interstate 680 on-ramp led to a minor-misdemeanor citation charging Kyle T. Lessick, 24, of Misty Ridge Trail, Poland, with having in his shoe a bag of suspected marijuana that weighed about 3 grams.
Theft: A boy and a girl, both 16 and of Youngstown, were accused of stealing $17 worth of merchandise from Walmart.
Theft: A man and a woman reportedly took a metal breaker box and a large piece of piping from Home Depot, 7001 Southern Blvd.
Arrest: Authorities arrested Le’ray J. Jackson, 26, while dealing with a possible domestic situation at a Lockwood Boulevard apartment. Jackson, of Youngstown, was wanted on a Campbell warrant charging him with violating a court order.
Theft: A man reportedly stole five personal-care items valued at $40 from Family Dollar, 4030 Market St.
Theft: A man age 45 to 50 reportedly stole about $50 worth of property that included a pillow from Walgreens Pharmacy, 525 E. Midlothian Blvd.

Identity fraud: A Kiwana Drive man discovered someone had stolen his identification, then used his credit card to make $9,642 worth of online purchases.

Theft by deception: A Hudson, Fla., man alleged a Boardman attorney whom he had hired in 2015 to represent him in a civil case tried to extort money from the accuser after he retained the lawyer for another case.
Littering: A man reported someone had dumped a couch, a vacuum cleaner and multiple bags of trash in the yard of a piece of rental property he owns in the 50 block of Willow Drive.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: An Indianola Road woman told officers a man took but failed to return her 2005 Chevrolet Equinox after an argument between them.
Theft: A license plate was stolen off a vehicle at a Tiffany Boulevard motel.
May 4
Arrest: While responding to a one-car crash in the 900 block of East Western Reserve Road, officers charged Michelle A. Ramos, 34, with operating a vehicle impaired. Ramos, of Woodland Drive, Columbiana, registered a 0.150 blood-alcohol content, nearly double Ohio’s 0.08 legal intoxication limit, a report showed.
Burglary: To an apartment in the 7400 block of Huntington Drive, though it appeared nothing was missing.
Domestic violence: Kenneth M. Daviduk III, 24, of Edenridge Drive, Boardman, was charged with the crime after his girlfriend alleged Daviduk struck her during an argument, leaving an injury to the victim’s eye.
Theft: Francine L. DeFrank, 32, of Shirley Road, Youngstown, was charged with stealing nail polish and children’s toys from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Possible theft: A woman alleged a towing company improperly towed her vehicle without cause or permission while she was at her job for a business in the 4700 block of Market Street.
Vandalism: A Market Street man saw that his vehicle’s motor, gaskets and transmission had been tampered with, resulting in a $12,677 repair estimate.
Theft: Three women reportedly stole a $798 flat-screen TV from Walmart.
Menacing: An employee with WKBN-TV on Sunset Boulevard reported a man has been making and leaving a series of unwanted calls and voicemail messages, which have reportedly become more frequent.
Theft: An official with Sweeney Buick Pontiac GMC, 7997 Market St., reported a $1,355 check had been cashed without consent.
Domestic violence: Youngstown police handed to Boardman authorities Christopher R. Rogers Jr., 22, who was wanted on a domestic-violence charge after his girlfriend with whom he lives in Boardman alleged Rogers, who’s also staying at a family member’s Youngstown home, grabbed her throat and shoved her into a shower area.
Theft: A woman in Walmart reportedly intentionally failed to self-scan $179 worth of groceries.
May 5
Fraud: An Ardendale Lane woman seeking to buy a purse and a wallet online told authorities that after negotiating a $1,200 price for both, the seller claimed not to have received the payment she sent and tried to have the accuser send the amount a second time with a different card before she realized it was a scam.
Possible criminal damaging: An Indianola Road woman told police someone without permission started a fire in her backyard fire pit.
Theft: A man reportedly stole multiple packs of printer ink cartridges valued at $5,617 from Sam’s Club, 6361 South Ave.
Fraud: An Amherst Avenue man learned that his personal information was used without consent in an effort to obtain a credit card after he had communicated with a woman on Instagram who requested the accuser’s Social Security number and bank-account information.
Theft: A Youngstown man discovered a toolbox that contained about $1,850 worth of tools was removed from his pickup truck in a parking lot in the 6000 block of Southern Boulevard.
Theft: Authorities charged Rachel A. Chew of Hopkins Road, Youngstown, with theft after alleging Chew, 32, had stolen $159 worth of property that included a pair of shorts from Walmart.
May 6
Arrest: Officers cited a 15-year-old Youngstown girl on a curfew-violation charge after reportedly having seen her walking in the 5300 block of Market Street late at night. The teen also was charged with obstructing official business when, they alleged, she lied about her age and refused several times to identify herself.
Burglary/felonious assault: A Glenwood Avenue man and his girlfriend discovered someone had pried open their apartment’s front door and took their rent money. The man felt the break-in might be related to an earlier assault in which he had been attacked by four men, one of whom reportedly cut him with a small knife or box cutter, he also told police.
Citation: A traffic stop near Applewood Boulevard led to a minor-misdemeanor citation charging James Thomas, 19, of St. Louis Avenue, Youngstown, with having a suspected marijuana cigar and papers used to roll marijuana.
Domestic violence: A 16-year-old township girl was charged after her mother alleged that during an argument, the teen had struck her with a full drink bottle in the chest, leaving redness to the affected area.
Theft: A Woodrow Avenue man noticed a piece of sculpture and various floral arrangements missing from his front yard.
Vandalism: A man discovered about $600 in damage to the drywall, walls and doors to an apartment in the 4400 block of South Avenue after the previous tenants had left.
Theft: A man in his 20s reportedly stole 40 to 50 packs of beef snacks from Family Dollar, 4030 Market St., before fleeing on foot.
Theft/menacing: A worker for a business in the 1100 block of Boardman-Poland Road reported a man had threatened him during an attempted sales transaction, then stole a federal firearms form.

Breaking and entering: Someone entered a garage in the 7400 block of Sierra Madre Trail, though police found no signs of forced entry. Taken was a $1,000 set of golf clubs.
Citation: Officers cited Dustin J. Martin of Claybourne Avenue, Boardman, after alleging Martin, 31, had a suspected marijuana cigar.
Citations: Police near Erie and Meadowbrook avenues issued minor-misdemeanor citations charging Jaclyn R. Campbell, 20, of Cherriwood Road, Pulaski, Pa., with having a small quantity of suspected marijuana and a suspected marijuana pipe.
Identity fraud: A Rockdale Avenue man found three unauthorized charges to his debit-card account that totaled $625.
Littering: The owner of a Market Street business saw that someone had discarded three couch and bench seats in a parking lot at the rear of his property.
Theft by deception: A West Parkside Drive man told authorities a caller who claimed to be his grandson said had been arrested before a woman pretending to be his attorney came on the line and said he would need to send $3,000 for his grandson’s bond. The accuser was instructed to buy three $1,000 Walmart gift cards before he was informed that it was a scam.
Identity fraud: A Red Fox Drive woman reported having gotten a letter from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services advising her that someone in California was using her Social Security number to file income taxes.
Theft: A woman reported a $5,000 false tooth missing from her Market Street apartment.
Theft: A Youngstown man told authorities 16 paintings he had displayed in a Southern Park Mall store were stolen, resulting in an estimated $20,000 loss.
Domestic violence: Kevin L. Pullen, 39, of Selma Avenue, Youngstown, faced a charge after police responded to a fight at a township movie theater, where a woman alleged that during an earlier argument, Pullen had struck her face, leaving the victim with a swollen right eye.
Theft: Robbin R. Cross, 44, of Wilson Avenue, Campbell, was charged with stealing $22 worth of items that included candy from Marc’s, 7121 Tiffany Blvd.
Theft: A Windsor Road man and his father-in-law discovered roughly $500 worth of merchandise, including a car radio, had been removed from their vehicles.
Criminal damaging: The Ohio State Highway Patrol handed to township police Eric A. Hufnagel, 41, of South Avenue, Boardman, who was charged with criminal damaging, related to a March 4 altercation at Aladdin’s Eatery, 7323 South Ave., in which someone angrily punched and did $100 in damage to a column in front of the building.
Drugs: Police at the Mahoning County jail took custody of Kristi R. McGarry, 24, of Boardman, who faced one count each of possessing drug paraphernalia and drug-abuse instruments. A search warrant at her Edenridge Drive residence revealed three syringes, three spoons with drug residue, part of a suspected crack-cocaine pipe and a spoon with burn marks common in drug use, a report stated.
Theft: Officers arrested Michael J. Cole, 22, of Moyer Avenue, Boardman, on a theft count. Cole was accused of stealing a $338, 43-inch smart TV April 11 from Walmart.

Theft: A Griswold Drive man reported $2 in change missing from his car.
