Library to host mini concert Sunday

Kirk Poffenberger will entertain from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Salem Public Library’s “A Little Live Music” mini concert of vocal and guitar selections. No registration is necessary and there is no cost to attend. The library is located at 821 E. State St.

Society to host annual plant sale Sunday

The Mahoning Valley Dahlia Society will host its annual tuber and plant sale from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 1463 Shields Road. All sizes, colors and shapes of dahlias will be available. Knowledgeable society members will help with selection and answer questions about planting and growing.

Guild to host annual plant sale Saturday

CANFIELD

The Holborn Herb Growers Guild will host its annual herb and plant sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the pumpkin barn at the Canfield Fairgrounds, state Route 46. The sale will feature a large selection of herbs, perennials, succulents, fairy garden plants and twice loved perennials. A twice loved book sale featuring gardening, herb and cookbooks also will be available. Guild members will be on hand to assist with purchasing and to answer questions. The second printing of the cookbook “Herbal Fare” will be available for purchase. This event is free and will take place rain or shine. Cash or checks only will be accepted. Yoga Center to host workshop

VIENNA

The Yoga Center, 972 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, (inside the Governors Insurance building) will host its ascension process workshop from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday. This workshop is a series of guided spiritual journeys designed to take a person from third to fifth dimensional awareness by clearing away old thought patterns and opening up to receive higher consciousness. Veterans' Outreach seeks volunteers

Veterans' Outreach has several events planned for this summer. A patriotic concert is slated for Aug. 25 and the Ohio Flags of Honor will take place Sept. 21-23.
