Opening arguments begin in Hundley murder trial

YOUNGSTOWN — Opening statements have begun in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court in the Lance Hundley capital murder trial before Judge Maureen Sweeney.

Hundley, 48, of Warren, is accused of the Nov. 6, 2015, beating death of Erika Huff and the attempted murder of her mother in Huff's Cleveland Street home.

If Hundley is convicted, he could face the death penalty if jurors find that his conviction meets death penalty specifications.
