The Witherses celebrate 50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Steven Withers of Springfield Township were honored recently for their 50th anniversary at a private dinner with family and close friends at the Youngstown Shrine Club in North Lima. The dinner was hosted by their son, Phillip Withers of New Springfield.

Two grandchildren, Austin and Alyssa Withers, complete their family.

Mr. Withers married the former Carol Bacon on April 27, 1968, at Trinity United Methodist Church in New Springfield.

Mrs. Withers worked for Spike Industries until retiring in 2002.

Mr. Withers is the retired owner of Mahoning Valley Water in North Lima. He served with the U.S. Navy in Vietnam from 1968 to 1972.

The couple are members of New Springfield Methodist Church.
