Assault charges dismissed against YSU professor

YOUNGSTOWN — Charges have been dismissed for a Youngstown State University professor after he was accused of punching his husband in October.

Following his plea of no contest on Feb. 27 to attempted assault, Christopher Barzak, 42, of Outlook Avenue had his case dismissed April 24, according to court records.
